Canada is not multicultural microscopically. Each culture and ethnicity are segregated in their own community and religious centers and bubbles. Most of them barely know their neighbors and they do not interact outside their ethnicities and religious circles. All of Toronto’s suburbs are settlements of immigrants and they are not cities. It will take a long time through new generations going through public education to create a melting pot. Private schools would be a disaster to the future of Canada because public schools are the only source to create a homogeneous society and teach Canadian values.

That is my opinion.

Teach your kids how to get the news or answer their question online.

They don’t need you anymore for answers, but they need you for guidance how to look for them.

Race and nationalism are social constructs. Biologically, there is no bases for race or nationalism. Every racist, nationalist, or racially or nationally proud person is scientifically an idiot.

Introversion and extroversion classifications are outdated. Evolutionary Psychologists identify two biological systems that shape our emotionality:

Extroversion which is the biological system for sensitivity to rewards.

Neuroticism which is the biological system for sensitivity to threats.

We can go far if we control these two systems, and we can.

For those of you who are in your twenties: there is a small window of time to make certain decisions in life, that almost becomes impossible later to make, among which is your twenties.

Congratulations Royal Oak Middle School … you became a symbol of racism, hatred, and bigotry nationwide.

Make me Dean of Students for two weeks and I will straighten it out for you.

Here is what I would do:

1. An assembly every Friday on inclusiveness and tolerance and coexistence.

2. Investigate the incidence and put every chanting student on probation for racial harassment, and require them to attend anti bullying sessions with Social Worker/Counselor.

3. Twin the school with a Mexican school and offer Spanish classes immediately.

4. Announce November as a Latino American heritage month ( in addition to Sept 15-Oct 15 National Hispanic Heritage Month)

5. Bring Immigrant speakers as guest speakers to classrooms.

6. Plan a trip to Mexico for my Senior class.

7. Coordinate with Hispanic local organizations, ACLU, and the Mexican Embassy to bring programs to school to facilitate understanding.
