Today, there are estimated 80,000 giraffes, 200,000 wolves, 250,000 chimpanzees.

Compared to…

1,500,000,000 cattle, 400,000,000 dogs, and 7,000,000,000 humans.

We have taken over the world.

“Perhaps 65 million years from now, intelligent rats will look back gratefully on the decimation wrought by humankind, just as we today can thank that dinosaur-busting asteroid” Yuval Harari

Capitalism founded America not vice versa.

Settlements in America in 17th century were established by joint-stock companies such as the London Company, the Plymouth Company, the Dorchester Company, and the Massachusetts Company.

The Mississippi Company, chartered in France, colonized the lower Mississippi valley, establishing New Orleans.

The Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) was chartered in 1602 by the Dutch hires mercenaries and colonized Indonesia for 200 years.

The Dutch West Indies Company (WIC) controlled trade through the Hudson’s and built settlement New Amsterdam in the river’s mouth which is lower Manhattan today. The wall they belt to protect the settlement from British and Native Indian attacks is what we know as Wall Street today.

British East India Company (BEIC) conquered India.

That’s why Napoleon used to make fun of the British Empire calling it (a bunch of shopkeepers).

Nationalization happened late in the game.

The world as we know it today was established and drawn mostly by unchecked corporate greed.

Mass production of sugar in America beginning in 16th century changed the world.

10 million slaves were imported to America, 70% of which worked in sugar plantations.

Free market controlled sugar.

Slave-trading companies sold shares in Amsterdam, London, and Paris stock exchanges. The yield was about 6% a year.

Everything was being done due to greed and indifference, and not racism or hate, although racism was a prevailing norm at that time.

Action: creating garbage disposals next to the beach. Routing sewage to beaches.

Result: Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, are all toxic to swim in. Ecoli level at Ramleh Baida (the only public beach in Lebanon) is 400 times bigger than safe standard. 3% chance for any swimmer to get sick immediately.

Reaction of Lebanese people: reflecting all the officials who have created this situation.

19th century: medical procedure for minor limb injuries – Amputation.

Anaesthetic: none. Four people holding the patient down.

20th century: medical procedure for minor limb injuries – considered minor injury – out patient procedure and antibiotic. Full anesthetics that makes the patient laugh during treatment.
