My prediction is that within the next 5 years, Tesla will find a sweet spot of low cost, fully automated driving models, with regulation catching up to it, that it will become to cars what the iPhone became to smart phones. .. every other car will be a Tesla and driving becomes an outdated act.
10 years after that, car ownership would become obsolete, because cars will be working 24 hours, and lyft and Uber would merge and become the main way of transportation.
