There is caring parenting.
There is attentive parenting.
Judging parenting as good or bad turns parenting into a shame minefield.
Children also learn from parents making mistakes and correcting them.
Also, making children happy doesn’t necessary prepare them to be courageous engaged adults.
So be vulnerable and humble about parenting and show your children that you too make mistakes and learn from them. .

What connects you to another human emotionally and sentimentally goes beyond and overrides what separates them from you socially, religiously, custom wise, or politically.
Society, customs, religion, and politics are social constructs while emotions and sentiments are more real because they are chemistry in the body, effect on health, and a pulse in the spirit.
